How to Choose the Best Topics on Blog?

Choosing a topic or theme of the blog is a process in building a blog which is usually often most beginners confused.

Choosing topic is the most important phase. If we made a mistake in choosing a topic for a blog, the blog will not work, will fail in the middle of the road and had to start from scratch.

As a blogger who started learning from zero, confusion and mistakes in choosing a blog topic I've already through. From that experience, I wanted to share some tips on how to choose the best topic for your blog.

Some mistakes often made in choosing a blog topic

Some of the common mistakes in choosing blog topics are below:

·         Selecting a popular topic but didn’t know anything about the topic

·         Impersonate another person's blog topic because seeing them succeed

·         Choose a topic that does not have a lot of readers

Those above are some of mistakes that are often made by beginner bloggers including me at that time. But it's a common thing as a beginner and that's why we learned, to avoid same mistake in the future.

How to choose a blog topic

To choose a blog topic fairly simple. You only need to answer the following questions:

·         What hobby you really interested?

·         What kind of work you've ever done and really enjoy it?

·         What experiences have you had?

·         What skills have you mastered?

·         What skills you have not mastered but want to learn it?

·         Have you ever thought to build a business? What business is that?

By answering these questions I'm sure you can find a picture of what topics would you make. After finding a though of what topics you can build, you can choose a topic that you really know.

Choosing a suitable topic for monetized

If your blogging aim to earn money, answering the questions above is not enough. Why? Because not all topics good to be monetized. All the topics actually can be monetized, but not everything can be monetized in the same way. Some topics are suitable for monetized with AdSense, Some more suitable monetized with affiliate and there are only suitable for product sales.

This problem is a little bit confusing for beginners. The best way in my opinion is simply select the topics that really interest you. After that I am sure you will eventually find yourself the best way to monetize your blog.

Choosing a topic that has enthusiasts

One of the common mistakes made is choosing a topic that people not interest in or only a few people interest in that topic. Choosing this kind of topic will result in disappointment because of your blog will be quiet end. Do the research before determining the keywords that will be selected. Use tools like Google AdWords: Keyword Planner or Google Trends to analyze whether the topic you choose has many enthusiasts or not.

I'm confused, how about discussing many topics in a blog?

If you really can’t find an appropriate topic, then discuss many topics is the last option. But personally I do not really like that kind of blog.

Choosing a topic correctly is fundamental for blogger in building a quality blog. But it doesn’t matter if you choose the wrong topic, because that's a learning process. Mistakes and failures are common. The most important thing are we do not repeat the same mistakes and it will make our blog will be more qualified.
