Google as a most
widely used search engine around the world, always make changes their
algorithms. Last update released by Google was the launch of Panda 4.0
which makes significant changes in search results on Google search engine.
These changes would be a very important concern for all blog owners, especially
those who rely on Google as a traffic source.
However, although
Google has always issued an update on their algorithm (probably will continue
to do), couple important things unchanged. Google wants the blog owner to
always provide the best content and up to date for their visitors.
How SEO develop in the
future? How to optimize on-page SEO factors that are relevant to visitor and
also for Google search engine? Here are nine basic things in SEO:
1.
Update
Blog with Useful Content
Building
a blog is a very effective way to publish content related to your business,
brand building, increasing number of audiences, and establish the authority for
business websites. Maybe it was unthinkable, but today it is a necessity.
Build
content that always up to date and relevant to your business will make your
blog gets more confidence from the audience, and of course from Google search
engine. I have proved that quality content is a very important factor for
success of a blog in search engine.
Useful
information will make your visitors satisfied that what they’re looking for is
in your blog. And I’m sure they will come back to seek new information from
your blog. And it is possible that visitors will recommend your blog to their
friends or share your post to social media. It is really beneficially for your
blog popularity.

2.
Discussing
a Topic Deeply
We
note that Google tends to prefer the deep content in their search results. It
is easy to create a simple content with as many as 400 words of text, then optimize
it for some specific keyword. It looks like Google already aware of this.
If
you currently have some short articles post (400 words or less), your content
is not likely to get a good position in search engines. If you want to get more
traffic from article, you need to fix it. Actually there is no definitive
standard for the number of words in each of your articles, but usually content that
discusses a topic in depth at least up to 1000 words or more.
I
know that write 1000 words up is not easy. So, you must be more creative to
write a post. Try to get more sources in internet as your writing reference.
3.
Build
Contents that Related Each Other
A
lot of blog owners try to optimize certain pages to get traffic from keywords
at once. In some cases we may apply if some of these keywords are still relevant.
However, when some of these keywords are irrelevant, it would be better if we
build some different content and discuss the focus of each of keywords that
will be optimized.
Build
more content related to each other will be very good for your SEO campaign. In
addition, it will also increase your audience experiences while in your blog.
Include internal links inside each of your content, so that reader can explore
more of content on your blog.
Please
note, don’t add to much link in your post. As we know, Google really hate this,
your blog will considered as spam blog by Google. So, build your content link
naturally and links to other post must be relevant with the topic discuss.
4.
Integrated
with Google Authorship
This
feature was released by Google a long time ago, but there are still many blog
owners who do not use it. Google Authorship is Google's way to verify the
author content in a website, and take into account how much expertise
(authority) of each author on a topic. And it turns Author Rank (Ranking
Writer) which greatly affects search results on Google search engine.
In
addition, other benefits that could be obtained if blog owners integrate with
Google Authorship is Authorship Markup. You must have seen a picture of
author's profile in Google search engine results. Well this is called the
Authorship Markup. Based on research, Authorship Markup can increase the number
of clicks to a website because it attracted attention of Google users.
5.
URL
optimized
This
point has actually been discussed since the first, and most likely there will
be no change in future. It is important to make a good setting on your blog
permalinks, to always contain keywords that are relevant to the content you
create.
Some
important points to optimize your URL:
Ø Contains keywords that relevant
to the content
Ø No more than 100 characters length
Ø URL contains no more than 3 sub-directories (eg:
Computer / Desktop / Laptop)
6.
Optimized
Heading Tags
Each
page in blog has heading tags (H1, H2, H3). H1 heading tag indicates the main
topic of your page, and first element on page. Make sure you only have one H1
in each content page.
We
can create content become more organized by adding H2, and H3, as you can see
in this article. Highly recommended put relevant keywords in the H1, H2 and H3
with appropriately. Do not be too pushy add keywords. Create as natural as
possible.
7.
Optimized
Title Tags
This
point has also been frequently discussed in any article on SEO. Since the first
use of Title Tags are a crucial factor and very important for SEO, and I'm sure
will be and so on. Besides should contain keywords that are relevant to your
content, Title Tags should also neatly arrange with language in order to
attract audiences to click and open your blog.
It
is better we include keywords in Title Tags naturally. For main page (homepage),
beside insert keywords that are relevant to your niche, it is advisable to add
the name of company (if you’re running business blog).
8.
Optimized
Tag Image
Tag
image are still very important for SEO, it is important to strengthen relevance
between text and image content. In addition, a well optimized image will get a
good ranking in list of image search in Google Image Search.
WordPress
users could use WordPress platform SEO Friendly Images plug-in, this plug-in
can help add Alt image according to targeted keywords automatically. If you use
blogger platform, don’t forget to add alt tag in every image of your content.
This will increase your SEO rank.
9.
Add
Keywords in Content
I
think the strategy of adding keywords within content is still a crucial factor
in SEO, and will always be so. Insert relevant keywords is good practice of SEO
optimization, but also note the frequency of keywords in content because too
many add certain keywords within the content will be considered keywords
stuffing that can be bad for your SEO campaign.
