Why my blog rank dropped?

Have your blog position decreased drastically in SERP, especially Google? One of my blogs is, and that make my blog traffic 'freefall' or drop. For a blogger or internet marketer, loss of traffic from search engines suddenly is something that is very annoying, or I call it a disaster…. Why do I say that? Just like offline stores, when visitors who come to the store suddenly no longer exist, the store will be quiet and no sales. And if this happens continuously in a long time, store certainly would go bankrupt and out of business.

For an online business or online business development, traffic from Google search engine is something that is very valuable. Especially if the blog is on the main page of Google search results. Traffic that comes to the blog will be abundant and sales conversions will usually directly proportional with the traffic coming from Google search engine. Imagine if all the potential traffic lost all within the shortest possible time....

There are several things that cause your blog dropped in Google SERP position suddenly. The following are some of the causes:

1.     Google Sandbox Effect

Google Honeymoon phenomenon is the moment when a new blog suddenly got very good rank in Google's search engine, could even reach the top 5 positions in a very short time. But when Google Honeymoon ends, the position of the blog is no longer visible on the main page of Google search. Somehow the Google called it Google honeymoon, but this phenomenon could make us who initially excited and end up disappointed because the blog move into a position that is not reachable potential visitors.

Copying content from others blog is often done by slacker blogger. A highly skilled plagiarism will not able to avoid the effects of his actions to copy other people's content without giving credit to the original content. We've often read that Google really liked the original and useful content to readers, and will give a penalty to the blog that its content was copied from another source.

Copying content from other sources without giving credit to the original content author is something that is very annoying. In my opinion they are just like a thief. I admit that I often write about the same topic as other blogs but with a different grammar and with my own language style and it is still acceptable by Google. If we want to have a blog that is well liked and well favored search engines for a long time, you should start learn to build your own content. Be yourself and be original.

5.     Google Algorithm Changes

Google is very concerned with their search results. This can be seen from the significant changes that they do on their algorithms. At that time 'robot / automatic' blog often get a good position in the search engines, now 'robot / automatic' blog is getting disappear from search engine and Google prefers blog which have original and updates content.

If we pay attention, this time Google is very often update their site's search results. No wonder that we often see changes in search results on Google. Algorithm updates that often lead position in Google SERP blog often changes. But do not worry, if you have content that is informative, original and your blog has a good structure, this algorithm change did not significantly affect the position of your blog in the Google search engine.
